The Stinger!

Last month 3 Dept.26 riders competed in the 'Stinger'. The Stinger is a running and mountain bike event based at Newnham park in Plymouth. It involves a mountain bike race doing 4 laps of a course the a run around the same course then finally, you get chased down a bog by wasps until somebody collapses.

Lee Sampson came 4th in the vets (he is also the current Dept.26 4X champ!).

Matt Nicklin did really well in the solo male cat and came 22nd.

Vincent Swain, against all the odds, also did well in vets and came 21st.

VIVOBAREFOOT Neo video

Back in the summer I did some product testing for VIVOBAREFOOT. They are a barefoot shoe company that have, until recently, been mainly focused on running. South Downs trip

 Is anyone interested in cycling the South Downs way one weekend in May? Often called the best epic in England, its 100 miles all off road from Winchester to Eastbourne. Easily done in 2 days, B and B and pub at the half way point. Fantastic long descents and great views! Any takers?! Rob U.
