Entry cost

The cost to enter the Dept. 26 Enduro is free to Dept26 Club Members.

There is obviously a cost to putting on any event, but for this our first XC event we are picking up the tab in the hope we get as many members as we can out to meet each other and enjoy a great day of riding and racing.

As always, we are a ‘boutique’ event and we keep the numbers of riders low to ensure you have the best experience.

Registration

Registration is to be completed online through the Webscorer portal

There is a minimum age of 16 for the event, and currently a cap of 50 riders to ensure that all that those that do enter have a great day.

All registrations will be reconciled against the current 2021/22 member list. If you are not a current member your registration will be rejected.

Event day registration

On event day you will be required to register and collect your number board from the Registration Area.

You will also be asked to sign the declaration/waiver. Under 18’s will require a parent/guardian to complete this for them.

Trash Free Trails

We are huge allies and advocates for Trash Free Trails. At past events, collaboratively, riders and organisers did an incredible job to leave the woods in the natural condition they started in, albeit a few more deep ruts!  This year, we are following the newly developed guidelines to make us a Trash Free Trails event. This will again be made possible through a unified approach: From the dedicated Dept.26 club member, our lovely food vendors, and of course, you, the rider (and everyone in between!) this will hopefully bring us one huge step closer to becoming a #trashfreerace.

At this Event:

You will find recycling bins at all stages for you to dispose of any rubbish you have accumulated (gel/energy bar wrappers etc).

You will find at the finish a set of wire cutters to remove your cable ties (if you're using them) for you to deposit in the respective recycling container. We will then ensure this waste is disposed of correctly. If you are handy with a knot, feel free to ditch the plastic and use string!

Our grim sweeper will be following at the back to ensure the trails are left in pristine condition for the next riders to enjoy, so please take care with your rubbish along the way. Pin it and bin it!

The catering will be plastic free, and still just as tasty, so please try and keep with our thinking with what you bring into the event area.

Unfortunately, due to our location, we don't have a water station (yet!) so please be mindful of your hydration and fill your Camelbaks and bottles before the event limiting the purchase of single use plastic bottles. Bude now has a new water refill point in the centre of town where you can fill up for free!

Our plan is never to bring anything into our trails that we don’t take back out and dispose of correctly. We also want to limit the use of single-use plastic and we will always be trying to find alternatives where possible.

We believe in this and want to share this with you all to continue on your future trail adventures.

Thank you for your support.

More info on Trash Free Trails will be available at the event and you can obviously check them out on Facebook, Instagram and beyond.
