Christmas race weekend

OK Gang. It's Christmas race time!

 

Saturday Morning 10AM: Tiscott Woods Main Entrance.

 

Plenty of parking, so bring the family and your friends.

Tea and biscuits available.

 

We do need a hand with marshalling, so if you're not racing why not get involved?

 

We could do with some help in preparing the course.

So if you can get to the woods around 2pm Friday afternoon, great.

If not, 8AM Saturday morning, lovely!!

 

Also on Saturday, a big night of Banter, Raffle prizes and Club trophies.

Wonderful food at The Bank 7PM.

After a number of literally blinding rides in Wales and at home, I bought one of these.

A great bit of kit for keeping the shite out of your eyes. Available from your LBS for around a tenner.

The original Crud Catcher, worth every penny, and looks.......OK!

Christmas Race

Ahh, the falling of leaves, the mud on your tyres. Cold toes and the dew drop on your nose. It can only mean one thing. CHRISTMAS RACE time again!!!

Saturday the 7th Dec 2013.

Kick off time is 10:00AM. Meet at the main entrance at Tiscott. The route will be from top to bottom. Fastest time wins, with up to three runs, if you think you're up to it!

 

Bring the family and friends up. There is a small chance someone might have a crash!!

 

 

 

Join us afterwards at The Bank for Christmas Tapas and maybe an aperitif, or two!!

Get the date in your diary, phone, write it on your bog roll, wallpaper, just somewhere you won't forget.

 

This was El Capitan after last years sober affair....

 

 

Book your place and one for your spouse/girlfriend for a evening of speeches, awards, banter and some sort of throwing competition.

Movember

Ok ladies, the time has come once again when you try and grow a Mo just like Granny!

 

Last year we raised over £600 for men's cancer, I'm sure we can do better this year. It's simple. You just don't shave your top lip, and maybe bits of your cheek or chin for a month.

Come on do it, the ladies love it!!!

As you can see, the clothing comes in a variety of styles and can be worn for any occasion!!

Wales

In case you missed it we are off to Wales on the last weekend in October. Leave Friday 25th after work, and return on the Sunday 27th. We will be riding at Brechfa, may stop at Cwmcarn on the Sunday. All are welcome but you have to let Matt know if you're coming so we can book a cave to stay in.

Winners

Congratulations to the Dept 26 Quadrathlon Team.

Swim: Tim Moyle, Cycle: Lee Sampson, Kayak: Brett Higham, Run: Rob Shaw.

This is the first time in the history of the event that the first guy across the line came from a relay team.

In the individual class were three world series winners, so this really was a great effort.

What next for the mighty Dept 26??

Monthly club meeting - Tuesday 13th.

Lets get planning! Click where it says 'Map' and change it to satellite for a better idea of how things look. The map shows where the current tracks are in Tiscott. Monthly club meeting at the Brendon on Tuesday 13th at 7.30pm. If you want some input into the new tracks then now is your chance!

Below is one idea of a proposed loop in Tiscott. Ive tried to cover as much ground as possible and have had a look at all the areas in the woods and this would be more or less possible!
