Last one for some?

I've heard there's a soccer ball world series (or something) starting this week, so it may have been the last ride for  a while for some.

And what a ride it was again tonight!

Another great turn out, with a couple of new faces to add to the mix of skills in our evening rides. This made for a good paced and on occasion super technical ride (thanks Gary for the new runs!). With super steep adverse camber downs, it wasn't everyones cup of tea, but luckily there were the options to push where you need to without feeling it wasn't the right thing to do. To those that survived we salute you!

Velvet didn't make the full ride unfortunately, but we hope for a speedy recovery for him! Nothing too serious but I'm sure he's on CRC now adding to his pad collection right now.

With a big group statistically the chance of the number of mechanical failures increases, but luckily there were only two tonight (Two broken chains) fixed without too much disruption.

So all in all a great night out in Stowe and on the way back we caught sundown along the coast path.

Hopefully tonights outing will put off the soccer ball fanatics missing any rides and we'll be treated to weeks of this!

Happy Trails!

And for El Capitan we'll have a word with the council about getting that bottom step marked up a bit clearer!

So what did I miss?

Our first regular monthly meeting after our AGM, was held at The Preston Gate last night (Tuesday 10/06)

For those that did not make it we talked about revamping Tiscott hut, local sponsorship, how good the sandwiches were, events coming up that the club are attending, whether to participate in the carnival or not, success of the website, random berating of 29ers, planning a new trail video, club membership packs (including stickers!)  and all manner of other related things you can do with a group of like minded people sat in the pub!

We did get around to naming our trails and here's a snapshot until the trail map is finished off (soon!), the finished trail map will be included in members packs.

Weather looks like it may be on the change (for the better), so looks like a dry ride tonight... GET OUT THERE!
