Thank you!

What another great year!

The weather tried its best to scupper this years event but to be honest I think you'd all agree it just added to it!

42 riders started and finished this years event, with Richard Tucker taking the win, closely followed by Jack Delbridge and Ross Hancock.
Jeb Beresford was our fastest Vet and Amy Jones our fastest female.
You can view the full results here.

Well done to all that took part this year, and thank you all for making it  the great success it was.

We've taken down all the course markings now, and it was fantastic to see that everyone (spectators and riders) had taken out everything they had brought in. Respecting the environment whilst attending events like this is extremely important and you guys have done us proud!

As always the event would not have been possible without the support from our club members and their families. We are not an event company, so we fit this in around all we normally do during the day (and night).
For all of you that helped running the car parking, marshalling, providing refreshments, taking photos, timing, setting up, breaking down, building toilets, the list goes on and on... But really a great big THANK YOU for all of your help!

Images from the event will appear on our Facebook page as and when they become available.

So... until next year!?

Event Supporters

Our event is self supporting with the entry fee covering all the necessary elements of putting on the event.

So, to be able to provide you with that little extra and some goodies for the lucky winners, we are very proud to be supported by a number of great local companies.

Our close friends at our LBS at Southfork in Bude will be helping to bolster the goody bags for our winners and offering those essential last minute spares.

Mucky Nutz  have been protecting vital parts since 2009 and by developing new ideas and improving on existing ones, they have become a global brand with product distribution in over 30 countries.
Light, discrete, yet very effective, their guards are the original flexible guards and are used and endorsed by many pro DH and Enduro teams and riders, but are available to everyone in a variety of forms and colours.
Mucky Nutz have kindly given all riders Mucky Nutz Race Plate Supports (to which their race numbers will be applied) and are also topping up the winners goody bags with a selection of their products!

Once the event is over we strongly suggest a visit The Preston Gate  ,it is a great pub with great food and live music not too far from the race site, they are a continuous supporter of the club and we always like to reciprocate!

Coast to Coast

This has been on the cards for a while now, and here it is... the Dept 26 big ride!

This year we will be endeavouring to ride 127 miles Coast to Coast from Minehead in North Devon to Plymouth in the South, this will be off road (as much as possible) crossing both Exmoor and Dartmoor.

This is a real challenge and one not to be taken lightly. To make it more difficult we are planning to do this in only two days!

As this is such a challenge we want to make it a charity ride to give that extra incentive for riders to finish within the two days. We will be sharing a Charity page soon so you can all start donating.

The big day is Saturday 11th June 2016. Day one will finish after 80 miles. We will stay overnight before we start the Dartmoor leg and finish in Plymouth on 12th June 2016.

We are looking for riders to make up the team, but we only have space for 10, so if you are genuinely keen in taking up this significant challenge, please register your interest by texting C2C and your name to the club phone.

Good work Chump!

Enduro 8 at Cardinham

Race Report from Ken on the recent Enduro 8 at Cardinham Woods. The race format was as many loops as possible in 8 hours with the highest number winning.

-----------------------------------------------

Just back from the Cardinham 8 hour Enduro.

People from the Cardinham Riders club had organised it and it was really good, even though the Club seems to have a high proportion of "Machines" as members!

It was also bloody hard. I did 8 laps in about 6.5 hours. I had time to do at least one more but both legs decided that they didn't want to! It sounds like it is going to be a regular event and would recommend it.

-----------------------------------------------------

Great work Ken!

Write up from local press on the event, Ken representing the stripy shirt!
