Coast to Coast

This has been on the cards for a while now, and here it is... the Dept 26 big ride!

This year we will be endeavouring to ride 127 miles Coast to Coast from Minehead in North Devon to Plymouth in the South, this will be off road (as much as possible) crossing both Exmoor and Dartmoor.

This is a real challenge and one not to be taken lightly. To make it more difficult we are planning to do this in only two days!

As this is such a challenge we want to make it a charity ride to give that extra incentive for riders to finish within the two days. We will be sharing a Charity page soon so you can all start donating.

The big day is Saturday 11th June 2016. Day one will finish after 80 miles. We will stay overnight before we start the Dartmoor leg and finish in Plymouth on 12th June 2016.

We are looking for riders to make up the team, but we only have space for 10, so if you are genuinely keen in taking up this significant challenge, please register your interest by texting C2C and your name to the club phone.

Woodland Riders Winter Series Rd 2

Representing Dept 26 at the Woodland Riders Winter Series Rd 2 was our ripper Chump.

Coming in with a respectable position in the second round he's even made it into the Race Edit!

Good work Chump!

Enduro 8 at Cardinham

Race Report from Ken on the recent Enduro 8 at Cardinham Woods. The race format was as many loops as possible in 8 hours with the highest number winning.

-----------------------------------------------

Just back from the Cardinham 8 hour Enduro.

People from the Cardinham Riders club had organised it and it was really good, even though the Club seems to have a high proportion of "Machines" as members!

It was also bloody hard. I did 8 laps in about 6.5 hours. I had time to do at least one more but both legs decided that they didn't want to! It sounds like it is going to be a regular event and would recommend it.

Great work Ken!

Write up from local press on the event, Ken representing the stripy shirt!

Christmas Race 2015

It was wet, warmer than it should be and very very slippy.

Perfect conditions for a Christmas Race!

13 club members took to the Mini Enduro Course which used the three Tiscott sections of the Dept 26 Enduro Course. We had Robocop, the obligatory Elf and and Jon with his ar*e out.

The day was then topped off with the Club Dinner held at River Life and then afters at The Preston Gate), where Large attained member of the year and Dom got the Bullseye (again) for his Photoshop antics that clearly did not go unnoticed.

So all that is left for this year is to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a great year of riding ahead!
